Frequently Raised Questions

Why are you named after Sam Adams?

Samuel Adams was an American Revolutionary, Essayist, and Political Leader during the founding of the United States. He was a true believer and stalwart defender of the cause of liberty. Sam Adams wrote essays in many colonial newspapers defending the rights of Americans. Sam Adams was also a prominent member of the Sons of Liberty, who performed targeted and purposeful acts of resistance against tyranny, such as the Boston Tea Party. We chose Sam Adams to be our namesake because he is a figure who embodies the principles at the core of our organization: dedication to liberty and the willingness to stand up for it.
